ELITE STEEL is the culmination of years of hard work, perseverance, patience and a hint of luck. At the core of the narrative is a pursuit of the “American Dream”. A family company founded by Zoeb and Zohra Ghadiali, immigrants from India, the family business has evolved from a small exporting business to a full-fledged steel service center.

The Ghadiali family’s journey began in the 1980s when they arrived in New York City with few resources, but a wealth of ambition. Through tireless effort and a keen eye for opportunity, they established Alliance Trading Inc., a successful exporting business taking American made steel and exporting it around the world.

As the global steel landscape shifted in the 2000s, the family pivoted their focus from export to domestic steel sales. This transition entailed purchasing American steel, using local toll processors to cut steel and deliver our processed steel to domestic end-use customers.

In 2017, the next generation joined the company. Abizer Ghadiali, a former attorney, and his sister Banu Ezzi, a former physical therapist, brought fresh energy and a revitalized strategic vision to the business. They recognized that in order to grow and be a trusted partner to customers, the company would need to take control over their operations. As a result, at the end of 2023 the family invested in building out a state-of-the-art steel service center located in East Chicago, Indiana.
